Smash Cut (2008)

David Hess is low budget film maker Able Whitman in this sort of homage to the films of Herschell Gordon Lewis. Whitman’s brand of no budget films and dime store effects are no longer drawing in the crowds they used to draw and he needs a new angle. He finds one by killing people and using their body parts as props in is latest films. Now it’s up to porn queen Sasha Grey as reporter April Carson to uncover Whitman’s secret before she finds herself next to die in this tongue-in-cheek homage to no budget movie days gone bye-bye. Includes commentary from director Lee Demarbre, a video diary from Sasha Grey, behind-the-scenes featurette, and more. DVD
